Mrs. Meshenburg and The Oregon Trail.

2 Aug

Mrs. Meshenburg was my first computer teacher in elementary school back in the late 80’s and early 90’s. I have fond memories clicking away on the old school Macintosh computers with the green font color. I learned the basics of C++ and even got to play a few games in class.

It is these two games that I will never forget. One was “Where in the world is Carmen SanDiego” and other was “The Oregon Trail”.

I loved the idea of playing games on the computer but hated the available games. I knew that there was potential for better games and it was just a matter of time before it would be available to us kids.

and to commemorate the beginning of a love affair with computers and technology…
