Baking for Purim

20 Mar

It has become a tradition every other year to bake Humentashin to prepare for Purim. This year I went to Tel Aviv to Elisheva’s flat to bake with her and Ilana. Elisheva made the pastry dough using sour cream, butter, flour, sugar and eggs and we had two separate fillings. I am a firm believer in filling the pastry with berry jam while Elisheva’s tradition is filling it with apples, cinnamon and raisins.

They came out delicious except for the fact that my hamantashin NEVER stay close while baking. Boo!!

But they tasted de-li-cious!!!

Happy Purim to all!!
